Elephant-Shaped Baby Blanket

October 13, 2011 in SnugasaBugBaby Products

Whoever said baby blankets had to be square? It sure wasn’t me!

When Josiah was a wee one I made elephant shaped burp clothes. The other day I decided to enlarge that idea…an elephant-shaped blanket.

One side is an amazingly soft pale blue fabric with a subtle diamond pattern:

the reverse is a bolder blue minky (bubble dots) fabric:

Together they make for a reversible oober-cuddly blanket to wrap around a sweet baby boy.

A large ear is stitched through both layers…and a ribbon tassle “tail” gives your baby something to manipulate in his pudgy little fingers :)

Photo Suggestion: Take weekly or monthly photos of your baby boy on this blanket…the constant size of the elephant will be a scale by which you can gage his growth and development. And what could be cuter than the combination of BIG elephant and itty bitty baby?

This item can be found for sale in my etsy shop.
