I feel like I have seen a lot of 2 Ingredient Recipes floating around at Blog Parties and on Pinterest lately, and they have me very intrigued! Check these out:

Robin Sue, of Big Red Kitchen, made a beautiful cake with a box of cake mix and a can of pumpkin (and used a few more ingredients to make an apple cider glaze)!

My husband made these diet coke brownies, from Aunt Peg’s Recipe Box, for a side-by-side comparison with the original brownie recipe for our Community Group. While I can’t say I loved them (I don’t like diet coke…), I was amazed by how well they baked up. I have also seen other cake mix/pop flavor combinations…

I can’t wait to try these lemon bars from Practical Living…just a box of angel food cake mix and a can of lemon pie filling!

Hungry Girl did a taste test of several 2-recipe ingredients. In addition to the pumpkin puree and diet coke varieties, she tried applesauce and egg substitute for her second ingredient with a cake mix. But she says the best 2 ingredient cake mix in is a container of fat-free greek yogurt!

Yum.

Thanks for including my Diet Coke Brownies in this feature! I’ve been making the spice cake/pumpkin recipe for years, as a cookie recipe with chocolate chips. Bake them 20-22 min @ 350 degrees.
I can’t wait to try the devils food cake/greek yogurt combo! I’m going to make it right now!

Have you seen the 2 ingredient pineapple cake recipe. It is an angel food cake mix and a 20 oz. can of crushed pineapple (straight from the can…do not drain). It is indeed a heavenly cake. Serve plain or topped with a dollop of whipped cream.

(I have been looking everywhere for canned lemon pie filling to make the lemon bars but it is not available in my area.)
